Ian's recent videos

Hello, my name is Ian Meissner, I'm a Realtor and I live in Chilliwack B.C., Canada. I earned a photography diploma in 1976 and have been a licensed Realtor since 1992. I'm very fortunate to have a job that enables me to be outdoors and gives me the opportunity to photograph my beautiful community.

I started shooting digital in 1999 with a Sony Mavica. That 1.3 mega-pixel "wonder" opened a new door for me, and I re-discovered the joys of photography. The photography on this site was created with a few different cameras, borrowed or owned: Sony Mavica, Kodak DC4800, Olympus 5050, Canon Pro 1, Canon S70, Canon Rebel XT, Canon 5D and the always handy Motorola Q and HTC camera phones.

In all cases, each photo is a record of what happened at that "moment", I never bring in elements from one scene to create another. If you see a moon in a sky, it really was there. I hope you enjoy the images.
